ISBL 2004 NL MVP

Left fielder Barry Bonds of the St. Louis Finns was the resounding choice as the ISBL 2004 National League MVP. Bonds, who batted .359 with a Senior Circuit-leading 53 HRs while driving in 133 runs, was the first choice on six of the seven ballots, garnering 92 of a possible 98 points. Left fielder/first baseman Albert Pujols of the Manhattan Meat Possums, who led the Senior Circuit with a .370 average and tied for the SC lead in RBI with 157 while hitting 52 HRs, finished second in the balloting, snagging the remaining first-place vote and 64 points. Right fielder/third baseman Aubrey Huff of the Wilmington Quicksteps, who batted .319 with 46 HRs and 145 RBI, finished third to edge former teammate Jim Edmonds of the Finns.

ISBL 2004 NL Cy Young

Pedro Martinez of the Alaska Willows was the unanimous pick as the ISBL 2004 Cy Young Award winner, sweeping all seven first-place votes to score the maximum 98 points. Despite going just 16-8 for the season, Martinez led all SC pitchers with a 2.17 ERA, outdistancing his NL peers by a full run, and finished second in the SC in strikeouts with 269. Matt Clement of the Wilmington Quicksteps, who went 20-5 with a 3.68 ERA, finished second in the balloting with 52 points, edging the St. Louis Finns' Russ Ortiz, who led all SC pitchers in victories with a 23-7 record despite a 3.97 ERA, by a single point.
